BISHOP HERBERT KUUKU is one the leading founding Fathers of The New Life Fellowship in Uganda and was instrumental in briging it into the SFF GLOBAL fellowship in 2008.
He is the APOSTOLIC BISHOP in Uganda and the INTERNATIONAL MISSION OVERSEER for the NEWLIFE BRANCH of our fellowship. He was elevated to the post of Bishop in 2009. He is married to his lovely wife TEOPISTA, they have two children and are based in Mubende, Uganda
Apostle Herbert kuuku was born on 27th,oct,1982 in Kabarole Hospital in kabarole district.He was born from a humble family in Futi Butangwa Village by The late Rev.Jacob Kuuku and Mrs Florence Kuuku. He was looked after well during his younger age by his mother and father.
HIS GROWTH PERIOD:
Apostle Herbert Kuuku grew up from a village called Futi Butangwa in Kabarole District ,it has a town called Fort Portal which was named after a missionary called Sir Gerald portal. At the age of 8 years Apostle Herbert Kuuku was attacked by a disease called Meningitis to an extent that he was badly off, his mother got a lot of fear because of the situation his son was in, nevertheless a neighbour rashed him to the hospital.On reaching the hospital she was told to quickly take back the dead body. She also did as she was told.
Indeed the Apostle had died already, people started crying and morning,It came to one day and a half, The morning of the second day people started to collect money to buy the coffin,it was around 11 o’clock that God brought back to life Apostle Herbert Kuuku.According to his words when he was asked he said he was in a beautiful world where he desired to stay, he said he was told one word that be humble and you will be used by the Almighty God.
From that day his life changed, he accepted Jesus Christ as his saviour and every time he would be so quiet and one would hear him so active when it came to prayer time. Many people started to marvel at the way he did his things and conducted himself, he used to make very wise statements and when ever he would speak something, people would see it happen.
He became so instrument in the ministry which was overseered by his late father Rev. Jacob Kuuku. The Pastoral Body sat and set him to train as a Sunday school teacher which he did and finished with a certificate, he did it when he was 14 years old.
HIS MINISTRY LIFE:
He started serving the lord as a Sunday school teacher and a drummer in the church he attended and he later trained other Sunday school teachers which was agreat growth in the children’s ministry. He then did a diploma course in biblical studies from Kabarole Bible school and graduated in 2000, He was appointed the Ministry Youth pastor, This Ministry was overseeing 35 churches by then, He served faithfully and every place he went Masses gathered to listen to the word of God, he served throught the gift of prophecy and words of knowledge that God gave him, Many sick people used to get healed and his testimony, brought many to Jesus Christ. He did this up to 2005 and his father died. He was still at Makerere university doing Bachelors degree in Agribusiness management.
After the burrial the pastoral body called a meeting and he was appointed an overseer for the 35 branch churches, He started immediately serving the lord as he also did his degree at Makerere university in Uganda. He finished his degree in 2006 and concentrated on the ministry work. God used him greatly that in the same year he planted more churches to make 52 branch churches, in 2007 he further expanded to have 76 branch churches , when it came to 2008 the branch churches increased to 80 branch churches in Uganda.
God seeing his determination and humbleness sent him to Kenya and now over 30 churches joined him, in addition to those he planted more to make 73 branch churches. He always goes to Kenya every month and conducts crusades and conferences and Many signs and miracles have happened, the lame have walked, those who has lost hope have been restored, those who were chased from hospitals to wait for their time, have again stood and they are livng!so he returns all the glory to God!
HIS EDUCATION:
Apostle Herbert Kuuku started his primary level from Buliisa primary school where he studied up to primary seven , he did primary leaving examination and passed,he was then admitted in Nyakasura school where he finished his ordinary level and joined katikamu SDA secondary school where he finished his advanced level and joined Makerere University which he finished in 2006 with Berchelors degree in Agribusiness management.
HIS FAMILY:
Apostle Herbert kuuku is the heir of the late Rev.Jacob Kuuku and he is responsible for taking care of the mother and all his sister and brothers.
On 5th may 2007, God blessed him with a wife called Teopista Kabasinguzi whom they are serving with up to now. They also have a son called Josiah Musinguzi Kyamahano.
He is thankful for the calling upon his family because his in the office of apostleship, his wife Teopista is a prophetess by calling and so is their son Josiah. May all the Glory go back to God!
